Fair use policy

The usage limits that keep performance fair for every customer on shared hardware and network capacity.

Last updated 7 October 2026

VPS and web hosting services run on shared hardware and network capacity. This policy sets the usage limits that keep performance fair for every customer. Exceeding them may lead to throttling, a request to reduce usage, or suspension when platform stability is at risk.

1. VPS

CPU

Sustained high CPU use slows neighboring servers. If a VPS averages over 85% CPU for 1 hour, it is automatically limited to 50% of its allocated cores for 3 hours. The limit lifts after that window and reapplies if the average stays high. Plans sold with dedicated cores are exempt.

Disk I/O

We do not set fixed disk limits on VPS plans. If a server causes heavy I/O wait on its host node, we may cap its disk throughput until usage returns to normal.

Cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited on all services. Other blockchain workloads, such as running a full node, need approval by support ticket before deployment.

2. Web hosting

Permitted use

Web hosting accounts are for serving websites and their email. They may not be used for backups, general file storage, personal media libraries, file-sharing sites, or download mirrors, even on plans marketed as unlimited or unmetered.

Resource limits

Each plan's CPU, memory, and process limits appear on its product page. Accounts also have these default limits:

Resource Default limit
Disk I/O speed 100 MB/s
IOPS 1,024
Inodes (files and folders) 250,000
Outbound email 200 messages per hour per account
Cron job frequency Once every 5 minutes
Single database size 2 GB

Open a ticket if you need a higher limit. Addon domains and sub-accounts are not capped, but heavy use counts against your resource limits.

Excessive usage

If an account uses more resources than is reasonable for shared hosting, we will open a ticket asking you to reduce it or upgrade. If usage threatens server stability, we may suspend the account immediately.

3. Network

Bandwidth

Plans list a monthly bandwidth allowance. On plans marketed as unmetered, keep monthly transfer under about 20 TB. We contact customers whose usage is excessive relative to their plan price before taking action.

Port speed

Ports are shared and burst to the advertised speed, which is 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps depending on the region. Sustained throughput should stay under these levels at the 95th percentile:

  • 1 Gbps ports: 100 Mbps
  • 10 Gbps ports: 1 Gbps

We may throttle services with consistently heavy or abusive traffic. Only plans labeled as dedicated bandwidth guarantee reserved capacity.

4. Changes

We may update this policy at any time. We will email notice of material changes.
